REQUIREMENTS OF JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWS AND SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOWS IN THE IGNCA

The Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts(IGNCA) is visualized as a Centre, encompassing all arts, especially in their dimension of mutual interdependence.
The arts are understood to comprise the fields of creative and critical literature, written and oral; the visual arts ranging from architecture, sculpture, painting and graphics to general material culture, photography and film; the performing arts of music, dance and theatre in their broadest connotation and all else in fairs, festivals and lifestyles that has an artistic dimension.
POSITION DETAILS
JRF/SRF
Educational Qualification
Minimum eligibility for the posts of JRF/SRF is Post Graduation from a recognized university in the relevant field with minimum 55% marks. In case of SC/ST candidates the minimum eligibility is 50% marks in Post Graduation from a recognized university.
Age Limit: 30 years as on 1.1.2012. Age relaxation for SC/ST, OBC, Physically handicapped as per the government norms.
DURATION
The duration will be initially for a period of one year, extendable upto two years on satisfactory performance for SRF, JRF, Consultant Editor & Project Associate.
Amount of Fellowship
The fellowship amount to Sr. Research Fellow, is Rs. 23,000/- per month and the fellowship amount to Junior Research Fellow is Rs.18,000/-. A consolidated amount of Rs.40,000/- per month will be admissible to Consultant Editor and Project Associate respectively.
