  • National Professional Officer (Human Resources/Administrative Support)

POSITION DETAILS
National Professional Officer-Human Resources
Education:
Essential: University degree
Desirable: Training in the field of human resources management
Skills:
Functional Skills and Knowledge:
Very good ability in interpreting human resources policies and procedures and their application pertaining to all elements of human resources, analytical and negotiating skills. Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously in a team atmosphere and liaise with the WHO team and national program managers, as necessary.
Practical knowledge of human resources and tools.
Other Skills (e.g. IT):
Word processing, spread-sheet, Power point and other computer applications. HR information system.
Competencies:
1. Communicating in a credible and effective way
2. Producing results
3. Moving forward in a changing environment
4. Fostering integration and teamwork
5. Ensuring the effective use of resources
Experience:
Essential: At least 2 years of experience in various facets of human resources management. Extensive knowledge of principles and theories of human resources management and knowledge of HR rules, procedures, guidelines of UN system.
Desirable: Experience in UN Agency or large international organizatioin.
Languages: Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and knowledge of Hindi.
Annual salary: (Net of tax) INR 17,09,420 at single rate


National Professional Officer-Human Resources
Education:
Essential: University degree from a recognized university in business administration/finance or related field.
Desirable: Post Graduate in business/public administration or related field /administration and finance areas will be an asset.

Skills: Functional Skills and Knowledge:
Thorough knowledge and understanding of WHO's administrative and financial rules and procedures, good administrative knowledge of the functioning of government departments/ministries; demonstrated ability to work in harmony with national/international staff and maintaining poise in difficult situations; excellent writing, communication, organizational and supervisory skills including ability to take initiative; ability to draft reports and other documents in a precise and concise manner; ability to advise field staff in WR's office on administrative, financial and procurement of supplies matters.
Other Skills (e.g. IT):Proficient in computer literacy using MS Office , Internet/Email and any other in-house computer applications at user level.

5. Setting an Example
Experience:
Essential: Minimum of two years experience at national level in programme and administrative/financial areas.
Desirable: Experience in planning, management and monitoring of public health programmes in WHO or any
UN Agency.
Languages: Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and local language (Hindi).
Annual salary: (Net of tax) INR 17,09,420/- at single rate
