The A.P. Public Service Commission came into existence on 1 st November, 1956 with the formation of the State of Andhra Pradesh . Before this, there was Andhra Public Service Commission in the Andhra State and Hyderabad Public Service Commission in the Hyderabad State . Andhra Service Commission came into existence only in 1953 after the bifurcation of composite Madras State into Andhra and Madras States .

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a First or Second Class Post Graduate Degree in Archaeology or History or Indology or Anthropology or Museology or Sanskrit or Persian from any University in India established or incorporated by or under Central Act, or Provincial Act or a State Act or an Institute recognized by the University Grants Commission.
OR
Must possess 1st or 2nd class in Siromani(Final) examination conducted by Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupathi or any other examination equal to the above conducted by the Universities in Andhra Pradesh.

Age as on 01/07/2012-18-36 Years

Scale of Pay Rs.16,150-42,590/
