The history of Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd., the then Nadar Bank Ltd., dates back to 1921. The thought of establishing a bank under the guidance of the able Nadar business community was mooted out in the Anniversary of Nadar Mahajana Sangam held at Tuticorin in 1920. The proposal was effected soon. The bank was registered on May 11, 1921 as “The Nadar Bank Ltd”.
The bank has now 280 full fledged branches all over India, 7 Regional Offices, 11 Extension Counters, 2 Mobile Banking Branch, 6 Central Processing Centres, 1 Service Branch, 2 Currency Chests and 312 Automated Teller Machines. All the 280 branches are computerised and interconnected.
POSITION DETAILS
A Graduate (Arts, Commerce & Science) other than Engineering category with 50% marks or a Post Graduate, from a recognized University in regular college course with knowledge in Computer Operations.

An Engineering Graduate with 55% marks from a recognized University in regular college course with knowledge in Computer Operations.
Students who are awaiting final semester result may also apply.
Age:
Maximum: For Graduates: 24 years and for Post Graduates 26 years as on Mar 31, 2012.
Relaxation for MBC / BC will be 2 years. Relaxation for SC / ST / Physically Handicapped will be 5 years
Pay Scale with applicable DA:
7200-400/3-8400-500/3-9900-600/4-12300-700/7-17200-1300/1-18500-800/2-20100
The emoluments during the period of probation will be Basic Pay of Rs. 8000/- plus applicable DA (At present Rs. 5,040/-) etc.
The total emoluments at present approximately is Rs. 13,900/- per month.
