In the early 1970s, when JNU opened its doors to teachers and students, frontier disciplines and new perspectives on old disciplines were brought to the Indian university system. The excellent teacher-student ratio at 1:10, a mode of instruction which encouraged students to explore their own creativity instead of reproducing received knowledge, and an exclusively internal evaluation were a new experiment on the Indian academic landscape;

Project: “A Study in Inter-Cultural Space with Special Reference to the Works of Han Yong-un and Rabindranath Tagore” supported by Academy of Korean Studies (AKS), Korea.

Project: “A Study in Inter-Cultural Space with Special Reference to the Works of Han Yong-un and Rabindranath Tagore” supported by Academy of Korean Studies (AKS), Korea.
Duration: The Project is expected to continue till Dec.2012. The above mentioned position is completely temporary and is co-terminus with the project.
Salary: Rs. 15000/- per month (consolidated)
Qualification: M.A. with good academic record, knowledge of Bengali literature and/or Korean literature, basic computer skills.
