	Indian Air  Force  will  conduct  Fast  Track  Selection  (FTS)  at  PUDUCHERRY  on 12 March 2012 for short listing  candidates for Meteorology Branch as per the details  mentioned  below.   Training  of  the  finally  selected  candidates  will  commence  in July 2012

Eligibility	Post Graduate Degree in any Science stream  / Mathematics / Statistics / Geography / Computer Applications  /  Environmental  Science  / Applied  Physics  /  Oceanography  / Meteorology  /  Agricultural  Meteorology  /  Ecology  &  Environment  /  Geo-physics  / Environmental Biology with  minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together.  All candidates applying must have passed Maths and Physics  at Graduation Level, with a minimum of 55% marks in both. Final Year/ Semester student of Post Graduation may also apply provided they fulfill the following conditions:-  (a) They should not have any present backlog at the time of  SSB  testing.   (b)  They  should  be  able  to  provide  provisional/  original  PG certificate issued by the University latest by 15 June 2012. Physical Standards (i)  Height and Weight: Minimum height :- Men - 157.5 Cms,  Women - 152 Cms with correlated  weight . (ii) All other medical criteria would be evaluated by the Air Force Medical Authorities whose decision on the fitness would be final.
Age Limit	20 to 25 years i.e.  born between 02 July 1987 to 01 July 1992 (Both dates inclusive).  Age limit for the candidates having Ph.D degree would be  20 to 27 years i.e.  born between 02 July 1985 to 01 July 1992 (Both dates inclusive)
Procedure and Documents requirement	Registration  : On the spot registration will take place between 0800 hours to 1100 hours on 12 March 2012 at the venue. No registration will take place after the specified  time and candidates who fail to register their names on the day of registration will not be permitted to appear for selection procedure. Documents Required : Candidates are required to report at the venue with the following documents:- (a) Two copies of pre-filled FTS Pro forma (on A4 size paper) as per format given in detailed advertisement. (b) Original certificate of Secondary School Examination (as proof of date of birth). (c) Mark sheet and certificate of Senior Secondary School Examination.  (d) Original certificate and mark sheets (all semesters/years) of Graduation/ Post  Graduation.
