Job Description

Works under close supervision to perform low-level database management tasks such as adding users, managing space etc. Participates in testing back-ups, ensuring maximum up-time and maximum performance of database.
Familiarity with basic administrative commands is expected at this level.
Front-line interaction with users to assist with low level trouble-shooting requirements. Oracle Admin(L1)-Have Knowledge on Oracle Database Architecture, SQL Plus Commands, Basic Data dictionary views.
Basic Be able to identify and kill Oracle session..
Startup and Shutdown Database and Instance Monitor Alert Log, Scheduled Jobs.
Monitor the disk space in the server and take action accordingly.
Troubleshoot Temp tablespace issues, Monitor CPU Load of theServer. Understand how connectivity is established between client and server.Perform Export & import.

Desired Profile

Entry level position. Works on allocated incidents/ problems on maintenance of hardware / software - servers, laptops, PCs etc. with high degree of supervision. Provides support for simple trouble shooting requirements.
May be required to work as on-call support of in shifts to provide 24x7 type of support.
