The Department of Animal Sciences, established in 1993 is under the umbrella of the School of Life Sciences for academic and administrative purposes. The Department offers M.Sc in Animal Biotechnology and imparts, in addition to the structured four-semester theoretical courses, hands-on training for the students of the course in state-of-art laboratory facilities. The department has an active PhD program with a current enrolment of 58 students.
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates (Indian Nationals only) on a plain paper for the following temporary posts in the research projects mentioned below

JRF

Research Project

“Development of Organophosphate Hydrolase (OPH) Nanoparticle Based Formulations for Decontamination of Nerve Agents” in DRDO, New Delhi.

Educational Qualifications

M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences with a minimum of 55%.
NET/ GATE Qualification is mandatory

Salary: Rs. 16000/- + HRA per month.
Tenure of the Post: 2 years

Technical Assistant

Research Project
“Understanding Genome Organization and Gene Expression in Response to different Hexachlorocyclohexane (HCH) Isomers in HCH Degrading Bacteria and the HCH Dumpsite”- DBT, New Delhi.

Educational Qualifications

Graduate/ Post graduate in any branch of Lifesciences + 5 years experience in relevant field

Salary: Rs. 12000/-(fixed) per month.
Tenure of the Post: 3 years

Lab Assistant

Educational Qualifications

Intermediate + 5 years of Lab experience

Salary: Rs. 10000/-(fixed) per month.
Tenure of the Post: 3 years
